Korea Investment & Securities seeks to deepen its partnership with US asset manager Neuberger to bring Korean investors more global investment opportunities, particularly in high-growth sectors such as aerospace, semiconductors and private companies preparing to go public.

KIS said Wednesday that its President and CEO Miller Kim met with Neuberger Chairman and CEO George Walker and other senior executives at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, to discuss expanding their cooperation in investment products and wealth management.

The meeting followed initial discussions at KIS Night, a networking event hosted by the Korean brokerage in New York in September, as the two firms explored more concrete business opportunities.

A key focus was developing investment products that combine Neuberger's global research and investment expertise with KIS's distribution network and wealth management services in Korea.

Potential areas of cooperation include thematic investments in aerospace and Asian semiconductor companies, as well as opportunities involving promising pre-IPO businesses and other high-growth companies worldwide.

The firms also discussed the possibility of launching investment funds in Korea, although no specific products or timelines have been announced.

Founded in New York in 1939, Neuberger is a global asset manager operating in 40 cities across 26 countries. It managed approximately $613 billion in assets as of the end of June 2026, with investments spanning equities, bonds, private equity and private credit.

For KIS, the talks are part of a broader strategy to expand overseas investment offerings through partnerships with major financial institutions. The brokerage aims to use its investment expertise and international networks to provide Korean clients with a wider range of products tailored to their investment goals and risk preferences.

"The ability to identify companies with strong growth potential and secure investment opportunities is becoming increasingly important in global financial markets," Kim said.

"By combining Neuberger's global investment expertise with KIS's wealth management capabilities, we aim to offer Korean investors differentiated investment opportunities."
